Trillian on Android allows you to connect to your google talk account, problem is that it doesn't seem to allow connecting to a google apps account, that is a non-gmail account.

The fix for this is when adding your google account, instead of selecting Google Talk, select Jabber/XMPP, enter your full email address + password and for the host enter talk.google.com
