I need help translating N-13 News into other languages. If you speak another language and think you could translate the script into that language I'd like to hear from you. Each new language that gets added will be included into the script download along with the name of whoever translated it so you'll get full credit doing doing so.

2 members have already translated the script into Spanish and Dutch and are now included in the download with the script. So, if you're bilingual and want to help contribute to the news system I'd love to hear from you and hopefully get it translated into as many different languages as possible.

Well. I found N-13 today, and I'm about 79% sure I'll use it for one of my sites instead of reinventing the wheel. If I do, I'd be happy to translate it into Swedish.

Well, I'm quite happy with N13 so far, so I think I'll use it. (oh, and thanks for a nice and unbloated newsscript by the way!)

Should I do a straight translation of langmsg_english.php, or do you have some gettext (.po)-file that I should use? And when I'm done, where should I send/upload it?

A straight translation of the langmsg_english.php should do the trick. Once translated you can email me a copy of it to chris@network-13.com

Hi,
I'm in the process of translating your software into italian.
I saw a bug in the javascript alerts and prompts (and maybe other javascript's texts); I mean that the translation file loads correctly for every part of the program except for the texts which are shown in the javascript alerts and prompt windows.
I tried a lot to figure out how to correct this but the includes and session variables system isn't much clear to me.
You should try to load a foreign language and try to do something which opens a javascript window (I tried with the banned page). I'll see that the english version is still there, even if the rest of the software is speaking italian or whatever.

Do you have a clue about this problem?

I'll be glad to send you the translation once it's finished.

Roby,

Just in case you didn't notice the script has already been translated into Italian in version 3.4.

I've made a few changes to the following files in 3.4 that should correct this problem of the javascript alert prompts always being in english.

js/main.php
functions.php
langmsg.php
Download these files and replace your own copies and the problem should hopefully now be fixed.
