  • Quite a few other fixes and changes for a complete list visit this page

Upgrading
    PHP 5+ is now a requirement so please check you have PHP 5+ installed otherwise you won't be able to install or upgrade to the latest version.

    If you already have 3.0, 3.1, 3.2 or 3.3 installed you can upgrade to 3.4. To do so download the 3.4 version of the script and upload everything except db.php, you can keep your own version of that file (you also don't need to reupload the install directory). Once everything has been uploaded run update/index.php from your browser, here it will ask you to enter the version number of the script you currently have installed it will then update the database with all the necessary changes. If all has gone well you should be prompted with a message telling you the upgrade is complete and to also delete the update file.

    Remember to backup both your files and database before running the update.

Hi,

I'm having issues updating to 3.4 from 3.2.

I have uploaded all the files required, but when I put in what version I have, and press the button, it just sits there.

Any ideas?

I've restored back to 3.2 while we can work it out.

Thanks

Mat

I made a slight change to the update script, download this file, replace your copy of update/index.php with this new one then try running the update again.

I have updated to 3.4 from 3.3 and suddenly the system cannot display danish letters such as æ, ø, and å or other special charaters?

The problem is the "title" and "shortstory" but "story" works okay with special charaters.

What to do??

I just tested those characters and they work fine

On the page that you're displaying your news, have you set the correct charset for your language?

It's a nice idea, but could be difficult to implement.

Very easy to integratate the system into your own design. Wherever you want the news to show simply add this line of code

Code:
<?php
include 'news/index.php';
?>
